Nancy Kae (Crandall) Koenigsfeld was born June 13, 1941, to Orla and Maggie (Penticoff) Crandall. She attended Floyd High School through her junior year and graduated from Charles City High School in 1959.

Nancy was united in marriage to Francis “Butch” Koenigsfeld on November 21, 1959. They had two children: Brenda (Koenigsfeld) Thorson and Todd Koenigsfeld. She worked at Fareway for 43 years as a cashier/clerk.

Nancy was an avid sports fan always watching and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, Minnesota Twins, and Minnesota Vikings. She also attended her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s sporting events, concerts, and dance recitals. Nancy went with her granddaughters on dance trips to Disney and cruising.

The love Nancy had for her family was endless. They include her husband, Butch Koenigsfeld; children: Brenda (Kurt) Thorson and Todd (Shellie) Koenigsfeld; grandchildren: Kendra (Jeff) Harris, Korey (Lindsey) Thorson, Shane (Sierra) Koenigsfeld, Brodie Koenigsfeld, Meghan Koenigsfeld, and Devon (Amber) Koenigsfeld; great-grandchildren: Corbin and Kendall Harris, Natalie, Rebecca, and Paityn Thorson, James, Dean, and Remington Koenigsfeld, Oliver Titus, and Bobby Koenigsfeld.

Nancy was the baby of the family. She was welcomed into heaven by her parents, brothers, and sisters. She was also joyfully welcomed by her parents-in-law along with her sisters and brothers-in-law. Nancy is sitting in a rocking chair right now, snuggling Gunner, her great-grandson, with so much love, pride, and joy!
