Betty Bell, 86, of Manly and formerly Mason City, passed away peacefully Friday, May 2, 2025, at Manly Specialty Care. A visitation will be held from 2-4 pm on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N Pennsylvania Ave.

Betty was born on November 28, 1938, in Roanoke, VA, to parents Charles and Aileen Stafford. On May 4, 1961, she was united in marriage to Richard H. Bell, and they made their home in Winston Salem, North Carolina. The family later moved to Mason City in 1972

Betty loved to take care of her family and her home. She enjoyed a comfortable home and the love of her family. She loved cooking for everybody. She enjoyed watching and feeding birds, squirrels, and rabbits in the yard.

She also enjoyed crocheting and cooking for her family when they got together for holidays and Sunday Packers games. She was an avid Packers fan. Richard and Betty did a lot of traveling with their two dog companions. She will be missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many great friends and family members.

Betty is survived by her children, Kim (Roy) Rutta, Beth (Dean) Diesbach, Jim Bell, and Bob Bell, and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
