CHARLES CITY – This Minnesota man was spotted by police in Charles City, allegedly speeding and disregarding traffic devices, and his night was ruined.
According to Charles City police, on the evening of Thursday, May 1, 2025, their officers conducted a traffic stop at 11:24 PM at the 500 block of Freeman Street. After an investigation, 44-year-old St. Paul resident Jason Roesner was suspected of committing several traffic infractions, including traveling up to 15 miles per hour over the posted speed limit, and driving while intoxicated. Roesner was arrested on the following charges:
– OPERATING WHILE INTOXICATED (1ST OFFENSE)
– SPEEDING
– FAIL TO OBEY TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE
– FAIL TO CARRY REGISTRATION CARD.
Roesner posted $1,000 bond and was released at 12:45 AM on May 2, and now awaits a preliminary hearing set for May 12 at 8:45 AM.
