Northern Iowa sex offender nabbed with meth, coke, fentanyl and half a dozen registry violations

WEBSTER CITY – This Northern Iowa man, once convicted for exposing his appendage to a female child, was nabbed with an illegal chemistry set after cops discovered he was not complying with a state registry.

On April 14, 2025, Hamilton county deputies arrested 60-year-old Daniel Reames of Webster City, Iowa, on outstanding arrest warrants. Reames was arrested on six felony warrants for sex offender registry violations stemming from an April 9 investigation into his sexual offender registry compliance. Records show he is supposed to be living in a downtown Webster City apartment.

During this arrest, Reames was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl. Daniel Reames is currently being held in the Hamilton County Jail on a 10,000 bond.

Daniel Reames is charged with the following:

• 6 counts of felony sex offender registry violations

• 3 counts of felony possession of a controlled substance

• l count of misdemeanor drug paraphrenia.

Reames (pictured at top) was convicted in Humboldt county back in 2013 for indecent exposure. His victim was a female child under the age of 14.
