Andrea Chaplin, 81, of Iowa Falls, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. A private family burial will take place in Union Cemetery in Iowa Falls. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls.
Andrea Lee Chaplin was born on December 7, 1943, in Ellsworth, Iowa, to Andrew Koop and Donna Knott (Ward). She attended Iowa Falls schools and was a lifelong resident of Iowa Falls.
Andrea was united in marriage to Dennis Chaplin in Iowa Falls, Iowa on January 20, 1961. To this union, the couple had three children.
She enjoyed reading, crocheting, traveling, spending time with family, but most of all, gambling with her husband.
Andrea is survived by her son Bryan (Janean) Chaplin of Des Moines, daughter Cheri (Vern) Benson of Iowa Falls, son Chad (Clara) Chaplin of Des Moines, her sister Sally (Steve) Brekunitch of Iowa Falls, and her brother Douglas Knott of Des Moines, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis, sisters Diane and Linda, her mother Donna, father Andrew, and stepfather Roscoe.
