Melinda Sue Sparks, the daughter of Cecil and Patricia Anne (Edwards) Gorrell was born November 19, 1958 in Roseville, California. She died on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at her home in Estherville, Iowa at the age of 66.
She graduated high school in Sacramento and then attended beauty school.
Melinda was a hairdresser while living in Sacramento until 1996 when she moved to Terril, Iowa. While living in Terril, she was employed at various jobs. In 2004, she moved to Estherville and she worked for the Good Samaritan Society, ILCC and Pamida. For hobbies, she loved to dance, read and enjoyed going to garage sales.
Left to cherish Melinda’s memory are her children, Maryanne Hill and Eric Kirschenman; her grandchildren, Noah Hill and Matthew Kirschenman and her step-children, Adam, Mindy, Matthew and Jeremy Sparks.
She has been preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Ron Kirschenman.
