OBIT: Randy Lee Boeckholt

Randy Boeckholt, age 73 of Forest City, IA, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Hancock County Medical Center in Britt. Visitation for Randy will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Schott Funeral Homes in Forest City.

Randy Boeckholt, age 73 of Forest City, IA, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Hancock County Medical Center in Britt, IA.

Visitation for Randy will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Schott Funeral Homes in Forest City, and will continue one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Funeral services for Randy will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Schott Funeral Homes in Forest City, with Pastor Zech Anderson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Oakland Cemetery. The family requests to dress casually, as Randy would have.

In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the Forest City Ambulance Service.

Randy Lee Boeckholt was born on December 25, 1951 in Algona, IA to parents John and Dorothy (Kramer) Boeckholt. He went to grade school in Swea City before attending high school in Buffalo Center. Randy enjoyed a lifetime of hard work, love for the outdoors, and a passion for classic cars. He worked many years at Winnebago Industries, where he became known for his exceptional skill and dedication in maintaining forklifts. His strong work ethic and attention to detail made him an invaluable part of the team, and he took great pride in ensuring that the equipment he worked on was always running smoothly.

Beyond his professional life, Randy had a deep love for fishing, hunting, and gardening. He found great joy in sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends. His skills extend to working on vehicles, particularly his admiration for classic cars, the 1956 Chevy being his favorite.

Randy will be remembered for his generosity, dedication to his work, and his love of the simple things in life.

He is survived by his wife, Laura; children, Troy (Lisa) Boeckholt, Tony Boeckholt, Tara (Kevin) Tucker, Kelli (Shane) Wasicek, and Jennifer Miller; grandchildren, Tyer and Seth Strand, Kyra Boeckholt, Savannah Steele, Shaylinn, Jordon, Devin, and Ashlyn Tucker, Zack and Elijah Wagner, Kaleb Phelps, Kylee Bruns, Kristin Miller, and Lauralyn Wasicek. Great-grandchildren, Owen and Weston Olinger and Matthew Phelps; step-father, Wayne Wubben; brother, Alan (Judy) Boeckholt; brother in-law, Marty Jutting; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

Randy is preceded in death by both parents, John and Dorothy; and sisters, Victoria Jutting and Sandra Boeckholt.
