Patricia A. Sturges, 89, of Mason City, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at the Rockwell Community Nursing Home. A Memorial Service will be held 10:30 am Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel.

Patricia A. Sturges, 89, of Mason City, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at the Rockwell Community Nursing Home.

A Memorial Service will be held 10:30 am Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St NE, Mason City with inurnment to follow in Elmwood St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Patricia Ann Sturges was born February 10, 1935 to Merrill J. “Ping” and Thelma (Nelson) Radcliff on 15th Street NW in Mason City, Iowa. She was raised by her grandparents, Fred and Anna Nelson, and Maude Radcliff.

She attended school at Grant McKinley and Roosevelt, graduating from Mason City High School in 1953. She attended college at Wessington Springs, South Dakota on a Scholarship. Returning to Mason City, she was employed as a secretary at State Farm Claims Office. She was also employed at other Mason City firms as a secretary, including Lapointe Adjusters.

After her retirement she was employed part time at Casey’s and the Gas Stop.

She enjoyed taking one day trips, especially to the Amish settlements, doing laundry for others, solving crossword puzzles, cooking and baking, collecting glassware, going to church, and spending time in her home and yard. She also enjoyed buying gifts for others.

She is survived by her son, Brian P. Sturges of Rockwell, Iowa; granddaughter, Amanda (Jason) Smith of Rockwell; two grandsons, Joe (Karen) Sturges and Ryan Sturges of Rockwell; six great grandsons; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; a brother, Freddie Radcliff, on July 8, 1954; and a son, David F. Sturges, on August 8, 2003.
