Irma J Kemmer was born on August 27, 1931 in rural Kathryn, North Dakota. She passed away on January 15, 2025 at Evans Memorial Home in Cresco. Irma was the daughter of Anton and Emma (Anderson) Roberg. She was baptized and confirmed at Spring Creek Lutheran Church in Hastings, North Dakota. Irma attended Daily School near Kathryn.

Irma married Elmer “Gene” Kemmer on October 17, 1949, in Wheaton, Minnesota. They lived in Litchville, North Dakota, Corpus Christi, Texas, Pocahontas, Iowa, and Lanesboro, Minnesota before moving to Lime Springs. Over the years she worked at HECO (Harmony, MN), Peter Produce (Lime Springs, IA), FOX River Mills (Osage, IA) and A&K Elevator (Lime Springs, IA).

She was preceded in death by her husband Gene Kemmer, her parents Anton and Emma Roberg, brothers: Alton, William, Clifford, Lloyd and Dennis and sisters: Florence, Shirley and Mary.
