Russell Jay Knights, 57, of Iowa Falls and formerly of Pella, passed away Friday, December 27, 2024, at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls. No local services will be held and he will be laid to rest in Green Mountain Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations can be directed to the family for later designation. Woodley Funeral Home and Crematory of Hampton is caring for Russell and his family.

Russell was born on September 4, 1967, to Charles and Donna (Brucklacher) Knights in Marshalltown, Iowa. In his early years, he attended BCL schools before moving to West Marshall, where he graduated with the class of 1985.

Russell was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan and an enthusiastic ISU Cyclone fan. He also spent many evenings avidly watching professional wrestling.

Russell held multiple job titles throughout his working years – apartment maintenance, Direct TV installer, etc. But the title he was most proud of was “Dad”. Russell is survived by his twin sons: Jarrett (Liberti) Knights of Ottumwa and Jevan Knights of Ottumwa; his siblings: Karen (Matt) Koenig of Hampton and Dan (Darcy) Knights of Waverly; sister-in-law, Cindy Knights, and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

In eternal life he is reunited with his brother, Frank Knights; his father, Charles Knights; his mother, Donna Papenberg, and his grandparents.
