Molly Winkels, 33, of McIntire, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family.
A funeral service for Molly will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Osage with Pastor James Rockhill officiating. Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meyer.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service on Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Molly Jean Winkels, the daughter of Keith and Jennifer (Rolland) Winkels, was born on November 30, 1991, in Austin, Minnesota. She attended school in St. Ansgar, graduating in 2010. She then attended the Art Institute in Minneapolis to pursue film studies. Molly worked at KAAL as a camera operator in Austin until their closing. She then worked as a security officer at Diamond Jo Casino in Northwood and loved her job.
Molly loved spending time on her computer writing fanfiction and was an avid gamer. She also belonged to a few Tumblr groups and had many online friends. She enjoyed photography and taking pictures in nature. She also enjoyed going out to eat Chinese food, attending derbies and concerts, and her yearly vacation she took with her sister to Diamond Crest Resorts. Molly adored animals and loved her cat, Tyra.
Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Keith and Jennifer Winkels; sister, Ruth (RD) Smith; brothers, Nick Winkels and Ben Winkels; aunts: Ginny Boerjan, Kathy Williams, Linda (Lloyd) Taylor, and Joni Meek; uncle, Jim Rolland; and very anticipated nephew, David; along with many cousins, other family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Lambert and Dorothy Winkels, and maternal grandparents, Robin Rolland and Phyllis (John) Moss.
