OBIT: Phyllis A. Proietti

Phyllis Alleen Proietti, lovingly known as Phyllis, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2024. Per her wishes, she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Salvatore Proietti Sr. in Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City.

Phyllis Alleen Proietti, lovingly known as Phyllis, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2024, in Rapid City, South Dakota. Born on February 8, 1936, in Mason City, Iowa, Phyllis’s spirit and grace touched many lives over the course of her 88 years.

Per her wishes, she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Salvatore Proietti Sr. in Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City. A graveside service will be held 10:00AM Tuesday, November 19, 2024.

A proud attendee of Mason City High School, Phyllis’s early years in Iowa laid the foundation for a life characterized by compassion and determination. She embarked on a fulfilling career as a real estate agent, where her genuine nature and commitment to excellence earned her the trust and friendship of clients and colleagues alike.

She is survived by her son, Sal Proietti Jr., and grandchildren, Kristina and Hailee Proietti. Phyllis’s loving presence will also be deeply missed by her siblings, Dody Seidel, Patricia Cline, and brother Robert Cline.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Beatrice (Englet) Cline; her brother Robert Cline, her children, Rebecca and Michael Proietti; her grandchild, Toni Proietti; and her beloved husband, Salvatore Proietti Sr. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and the memories they shared will continue to provide comfort and strength to those she has left behind.

An individual of diverse interests, Phyllis found great joy in befriending the wildlife that visited her home in the Black Hills. Her gentle spirit resonated with the natural world around her, creating a sanctuary not only for herself but for the creatures she so dearly admired.

Phyllis Proietti will be remembered as a loving, thoughtful, and gentle soul—a person whose kindness knew no bounds and whose warmth could light up any room. Her thoughtfulness extended beyond her immediate circle, touching the lives of many who had the pleasure of crossing paths with her. The impact of her gentle demeanor and loving nature will continue to be felt by all who knew her.
