CLEAR LAKE – A man was hurt Sunday morning when his speeding vehicle rolled several times into a ditch north of Clear Lake.

On Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 1:14 AM, the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to 275th and Grouse Avenue in Clear Lake on a report of a single vehicle roll over. The driver, Nathan Shiltz, age 22 of Clear Lake, was traveling North on Grouse Avenue at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his vehicle and rolled his vehicle numerous times into the east ditch. Nathan was able to get out of the vehicle and was seen by medics on scene. He was transported to Mercy One hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The main cause of the accident is currently under investigation.

The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Clear Lake Police Department and Clear Lake Fire Department.
