Allie Marie Schulz, 96, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake, IA.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St NE, Mason City, IA 50401, with Reverend Jane Harris officiating. Burial will take place following the service at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will take place from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial, 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City, IA 50401.
Memorials may be directed to Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, North Iowa Humane Society, as well as St. Croix Hospice.
Allie Schulz was born on August 5, 1928 in Miller, South Dakota to Henry and Mable (Dolliver) Kunzman. Allie lived in South Dakota with her father until they moved to Mason City, IA in 1930, where she attended Mason City High School where she met the love of her life Elroy Schulz.
On February 13, 1945 Allie and Elroy were united in marriage in Mason City, IA. Together, they built a life in Mason City, raising their family and becoming devoted members of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.
Allie was known to be a loving, caring mother and grandmother. She was always there to make sure everyone was well fed and happy. The holidays were her favorite, from decorating, baking cookies, cooking meals and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
Those left to cherish Allie’s memory are her husband Elroy Schulz; children Judith (Dennis) Baker, Jim (Joyce) Schulz and Dianne (Randy) Kotz; grandchildren Chris Baker, Suzanne Aponte, Jason Schulz, Jordan Schulz, Ashley Stokke and Nathan Kotz; great grandchildren Brittany Beeler, Sydney Edwards, Jennifer Schulz, Jessica Schulz, Jalen Schulz, Ayden Stokke, Easton Stokke and Ariana Aponte, Kayla Schulz, Jared Schulz and Mason Schulz; great great grandchildren Caden Schulz, Mason Beeler, Bo Beeler, Palmer Edwards and Tate Edwards; siblings Margaret Hall and Dewayne Kunzman as well as many nieces and nephews.
Allie is preceded in death by her parents Henry and Mabel Kunzman and her brothers Douglas Kunzman, Harvey Kunzman and Donnie Kunzman.
