Linda Lou Benson, 81, of Dumont, Iowa, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 29, 2024, at UnityPoint – Allen Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Linda’s family invites you to join them for a visitation Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Woodley Funeral Home and Crematory, 902 W Broadway St, Dumont, Iowa. A private burial will be at Dumont Cemetery.
Linda was born to Warren R. and Ruth (Ross) Feuring in Kellerton, Iowa, on April 4, 1943. She married Robert (Bob) Benson on October 7, 1960, in Bradford, Iowa, and together they raised three children: Anthony (Tony), Lora and Jodie.
Linda Lou enjoyed crocheting, spending time with family, baking for her friends, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, fishing, and spending time with her two sweet dogs, Brody and Casey.
Those left to treasure her memory are her husband of almost 64 years, Bob; her daughters, Lora Benson of Aplington and Jodie (Brad) Warth of Urbandale; her sister Clara Jean (John) Neuhaus of Dubuque; 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren with one more on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents Warren and Ruth Feuring, her older sister Janice Brekke, her younger sister Kathy Waychus, son Anthony (Tony) Benson and grandson Colton James Warth.
Death took our mom/sister/wife/grandmother/friend but God took her from death and she is at peace in Heaven.
