Christopher J. Haugerud, age 52 of rural Northwood, IA, passed away of natural causes on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
Upon his wishes, cremation will take place and a celebration of life service will be planned for a later date.
Christopher John Haugerud was born on May 13, 1972 in Albert Lea, MN to parents John and Cathy (Lee) Haugerud. He grew up in Albert Lea, where he attended school. Chris worked for Larson’s Manufacturing, Winnebago Industries, and others, with his most recent employment being at the Top Of Iowa Welcome Center. Chris enjoyed hunting, tinkering on things around the house, and riding his motorcycle.
He leaves behind his son, Shaun (Danica Voortmann) Haugerud and their son, Gavin; son, Clayton Johnson, son, Tyler Hanson, and daughter, Emma Allie; father, John Haugerud; siblings, Michael Lee, Alan Haugerud, Anna Haugerud, Amy (Joe) Waltz and Shannon Lee; as well as many other extended family and friends.
Chris is preceded in death by his mother, Cathy Haugerud and both sets of grandparents.
