DICKINSON COUNTY – The Dickinson county sheriff’s office investigated a three-vehicle injury accident which was reported by a 911 call at 3:33 PM on August 1, 2024 in the 1700 block of 310 Ave.
Paula Stoker, age 55 of Mallard, Iowa, was northbound on 310 Ave driving a 2005 Chevy Tahoe when she struck a northbound 2021 Ford Transit van driven by Michael Myers, age 38 of Emmetsburg, Iowa. The Ford Transit was pushed forward into a northbound 2005 Chrysler driven by Kady Mortenson, age 31 of Terril, Iowa. Mortenson and Myers had slowed/stopped for traffic ahead when the accident occurred. Stoker, Mortenson and Brandon DeClercq (a passenger in the Ford van) were transported by ambulance to LRH with non-incapacitating injuries.
Others that complained of pain or possible injuries were treated and released on scene.
All of the vehicles involved are estimated to have totaling damage. The accident remains under investigation.
