Lynette Brunner, 72, of Marble Rock, died Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the Nora Springs Care Center. Woodley Funeral Home and Crematory, Greene, is caring for Lynette and her family. Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 17, 2024, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Marble Rock. Interment will be at West Side Cemetery, Marble Rock. Visitation will be 1 hour before the service at the church.
Lynette Kaye Brunner was born June 18, 1952, in Charles City, a daughter of Orville D. and Lydia Minnie ( Constien) Brunner. She graduated from RRMR High School in 1970. She then attended NIACC and became an LPN, later becoming a Registered Nurse. Lynette worked at nursing home in Charles City and later at Waverly Municipal Hospital.
Lynette was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Marble Rock, transferring to Zion Lutheran in Rockford when the Marble Rock church closed.
Family activities, especially with her nieces and nephews were her special times, she was active in her church with the Women’s groups and quilting. She enjoyed sewing, and could make anything, without patterns. She enjoyed coffee with her nursing friends and would occasionally visit the casino. She is remembered as always happy and difficult to get her angry. She liked to help people when she could. Her dog Annie B traveled with her and always had the front seat, even when there were other people in the car.
Survivors include her sister: Jo (Ron) Stotler, Greene; aunt: Joyce Constien, Greene; 6 nieces and nephews: Brent (Lori) Brunner; Jered (S.O. Molly Ann) Brunner; Alissa (Darren) Pfannebecker; Christopher (Rachel) Brunner; Bandon Stotler; Ronnie Stotler; and their families; her honorary sister-in-law: Marlene Nott; many other cousins and friends.
Lynette is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Steven and Duane and a sister in infancy Brenda Joyce.
