ST. LOUIS — The Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) released its 2023 academic awards list on Thursday morning featuring 51 Panthers on its honor roll list, including 17 being named as Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award recipients and six President’s Council Academic Award recipients.
To qualify for the Honor Roll, student-athletes must have recorded a minimum 3.00 grade-point average (GPA) for a specified term (Fall 2023), must have been a member of the football team and must have been enrolled full time during the fall. More than 700 student-athletes earned Honor Roll recognition.
The President’s Council Academic Excellence Award requires a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA through the fall 2023 semester and participation in athletics for a minimum of two years with student-athletes scheduled to graduate by the end of the summer of 2024. The league’s Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award requires a minimum GPA of 3.20 for the previous two semesters.
