Richard Dale Ehlers, the son of Pete and Katherine Irene (Petersen) Ehlers, was born on June 7, 1951 in Mitchell, SD. He died on May 31, 2024 at his home in Iowa Falls, Iowa at the age of 72.
Richard graduated from Ringsted High School in 1969 before working as a Truck Driver for Barts Trucking in Truman. He also worked for Jerry’s Well Service briefly.
In his free time, Richard enjoyed repairing things, he was known as the neighborhood handyman.
Richard is survived by his sisters, Evelyn (Arlis) Lucht, Jackson, MN, and Karen (Tom) Bannor, Wallingford, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Ardel Ehlers, Fairmont, Mn and Trudy Ehlers, Lakefield, MN; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Katherine Irene (Petersen) Ehlers, and his brothers, Robert and David Ehlers.
