William “Bill” Russell Aldrich, 70, of Mason City, Iowa passed away Friday, May 3, 2024 at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm. Friday, May 10, 2024 at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City, Iowa 50401. He will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.
Bill was born in Mason City on February 7, 1954 to parents Floyd and Doris Aldrich. He received his schooling in Mason City and received his high school diploma. Bill was united in marriage to Diana and together they had one son, Damien Aldrich. Following his marriage, he joined the United States Army. After he was honorably discharged, he got a job driving in a semi-truck for many years. Bill and Diana ended their marriage and got a divorce. Due to rising health concerns, he decided to retire from driving truck. He battled with cancer for a number of years.
Bill enjoyed visiting with his neighbors at the Grant Village Apartments. He was a caring person and tried to convey that to others. He was diligent in calling his mother regularly and they loved each other dearly. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Bill leaves behind his mother Doris “Dory” and a sister, Brenda Aldrich.
