Ronald Bruce Clay, 65, of Mason City, Iowa, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Saturday, May 25, 2024 at the Lions Park, 20 Lions Dr, Charles City, Iowa.

Ron was born on January 8, 1959, in Charles City, Iowa, to Clair and Doris (Stillions) Clay Sr. He grew up in Charles City, attending school until he started working. Ron’s passion for hard work began at a young age, as he joined his family at Clay’s Tree Service, a bond that would last a lifetime. He passed on his strong work ethic to his children.
Ron cherished spending time with his family and friends. For more than twenty years, he and his wife Sally were inseparable best friends. He also loved driving and fishing whenever he had the chance. Ron’s life was filled with the simple joys of companionship, hard work, and leisurely pursuits.
Those left to cherish memories of Ron are his wife, Sally Clay; children, Heather Clay-Pierce. J.C. Clay, James Whitehill, Jared (Dana) Whitehill, and Jody (Greg) Falls; grandchildren, Khloe, Landon, Brianna, Arianna, Elliot, Jack, Jaelyn, Zaria, Jameer, Gracelynn, and Zayden; siblings, Marion Linde, Roger (Pam) Clay, Joann Bailey, Steve (Linda) Clay, David Clay, Edna (Robert) White, Kathy White, and Patty (Bill) Kellog; Sally’s siblings; as well as other family members and friends.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Greg Clay and Clair Clay Jr.; and a brother-in-law, Tom White.
