David Christopher Wilson, 60, of Mason City, IA passed away April 1, 2024.

The family will hold a private celebration of his life.

David was born February 14, 1964 in Owatonna, MN, son of Richard and Marilyn (Ross) Wilson. He graduated from Owatonna High School with the class of 1982. He later went on to pursue his passion in carpentry, graduating with his associate degree from Faribault Technical College. His passions in carpentry were put on a brief pause as he worked diligently in the restaurant business; becoming store manager for Happy Chef through his hard work.

David, or “Ozz Man Wilson” as he was so affectionately called, had a love for all things rock and roll. As his kids were growing up; there was never a quiet moment. The basement was always abuzz with his guitar; the walls shaking at times. His kids learned to sleep through this and it was just life for them. Halloween was his all time favorite holiday; scary movies were always a feature of his home year round. The Halloween series was always played the most. Every year he would don his grim reaper costume to pass out candy. If he had the choice, the halloween decor never came down. David was a selfless man; always putting others first. He would travel all over to help his friends and family. If something needed to be fixed or built he was there. He was skilled with his hands and was always ready to put those hands to work if he could help.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Christopher Wilson of Mason City, Ashley Mumbulo, and Elyssa (Cassidy) Allison; grandchildren, Luxx Shimak, Maverick Mumbulo, Reese Mumbulo; mother, Marilyn; siblings, Chrystie Montes, Glen Wilson, Jack (Becky) Wilson, Scott (Patty) Wilson, Robert Wilson, and Michael (Amanda) Wilson; as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Preceding him in death are his father, Richard; and sister-in-law, Petra Wilson.
