Mason City Riverhawks look to add new Volleyball coach Mikayla Klenk

MASON CITY - The Mason City activities department announced that pending board approval, the next Head Volleyball Coach of the Mason City Riverhawks will be Mikayla Klenk.

MASON CITY – The Mason City activities department announced that pending board approval, the next Head Volleyball Coach of the Mason City Riverhawks will be Mikayla Klenk.

Mikayla comes to Mason City from Carroll, Iowa, where she has been the head volleyball coach and a fourth grade teacher for the past three years. Mikayla’s volleyball highlights include leading her high school conference in blocks, playing at the NJCAA National Tournament for DMACC, and coaching at the state tournament for Urbandale High School. Mikayla has been very involved in volleyball at the elementary, middle, high school, and club levels and brings a level of energy and passion to all the programs that she is working with.

Coach Klenk stated that she is “beyond excited to step in as the leader of the volleyball program! I look forward to bringing my volleyball knowledge to Mason City and growing with the athletes to become a force in the Iowa Alliance Conference!”
