Pat was born on May 10, 1948, to Theodore and Vivian (Putney) Cree in Mason City, IA.

Pat graduated from Mason City High School in 1966, and went on to continue her education at North Iowa Area Community College to become a Medical Assistant. With her degree she began working at Master’s Chiropractic and later Americana Nursing Home. Pat worked at the Clear Lake Bakery for many years until she went on to work in manufacturing jobs until her retirement.

In her free time Pat enjoyed going to the roller rink where she spent time with her soon to be husband Rodney Hanson. On May 7, 1969, Pat and Rodney were united in marriage; they were blessed with their daughter Shannon.

Pat and Rodney would play in foosball and golf tournaments, enjoyed canoeing and camping. They would drive around the countryside spotting deer together. However, on her own time, Pat loved to tend to her plants and flowers, read her health books, bake pies, and attempt to make fudge! Pat’s main priority was always her family; she was a selfless, compassionate and loving mother and mentor.

Those left to cherish Pat’s memory are her daughter Shannon Hanson and David Jackson; sister-in-law Maxine Worsley and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pat is preceded in death by her husband Rodney Hanson; parents Theo and Vivian Cree; siblings Donnie (Bernice) Cree, Shirley Tanner, Dixie (Lloyd) Schaer and Max (Jeanne) Cree; her grand-dog Bella and her beloved dog Boss.
