William “Bill” Sinclair, 75, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024 in his home in Clear Lake, Iowa.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30pm Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Fertile Church of Christ, 3493 Eagle Ave, Fertile, Iowa, with Pastor Ken Olson and Pastor Dan Miller officiating. Burial will be held in Grant Township Cemetery, Rural Fertile, Iowa.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:30pm to 2:30pm at the church on Sunday. Family encourages casual attire to be worn as Bill would want people to be comfortable.
Bill was born on July 25, 1948, the son of Tom and Thelma Sinclair in Irvington, California. He honorably served in the United States of America during Vietnam in the Marine Corp. In his younger years he lived in Oregon, where he worked at Roseburg Lumber Products for 37 years. In April of 2008 he moved to Clear Lake, Iowa. On August 27, 2016, he married the love of his life, Kay Aspland.
He was a member of Celebration Community Church, Clear Lake, Iowa, where he served as a Deacon. Bill often read the Bible, loved singing, and telling people about Jesus. In his free time he enjoyed taking pictures, playing computer games, and tinkering with all sorts of things. Bill cherished spending time with his family and pets. Those who knew him as a “grumpy and ornery old man” who had a great sense of humor.
Those left to cherish memories of Bill are his wife, Kay Sinclair; children, David Sinclair, Lucas (Becky) Sinclair and Jeremiah (Tisha) Sinclair; step-children, Daniel Hudgons, Kenny Rieken, Don (Cely) Olson, Dorrie (Rick) Hesley, Kimi (Jason) Peeper, Cory Olson; grandchildren, Daniel, Patrick, Isaac and numerous others; brothers, Tommy and Danny Sinclair; and his furbabies, Gommer, Ivy, and Willy.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim Sinclair; and sister, Mary Sinclair.
