Sharon L. Meyer, 90, of Hampton, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. A private family burial will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Hooper, Nebraska. Woodley Funeral Home of Hampton is caring for Sharon and her family.
Sharon Louise Meyer was born on February 11, 1934, in Atlantic, Iowa. On October 27, 1952, she married the love of her life, Clayton Meyer, in San Antonio, Texas. Sharon and Clayton lived a nomadic life, moving wherever Clayton’s work took them. They owned and remodeled several homes until 1997 when they finally settled in Coulter. After Clayton passed away in 2002, Sharon decided to move to an apartment in Hampton to be closer to her sisters, Juanita and Merida.
Sharon loved doing crafts and setting them around in her home.
Survivors include her nephews and nieces: Douglas Kolb of Mason City; Patricia (Michael) Ward of Hampton; Samuel (Michelle) Kolb of North Potomac, Maryland; Judy (Chris) Iungerich of San Antonio, Texas; Rodney (Cheryl) Rhoades of Spring, Texas; great-nephews and nieces; and her good friend, Susan Bellinger.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Clayton Meyer; brother Jack (Phyllis) Rhoades; sisters Juanita Kolb and Merida Hartman; and nephew Robert Rhoades.
