Connie Jo McCoy, 54, of Mason City, Iowa, lost her battle with Leukemia on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 2502 S Jefferson Ave, Mason City, IA, with Pastor Jane Harris officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am prior to the service at the Church on Saturday, March 2, 2024.

Connie, born on March 5, 1969, in Mason City, was raised by her parents, Keith and Judy Morphew. She graduated from Mason City High School and attended LaJames Beauty School. On June 5, 1995, she married Raymond McCoy, with whom she had two sons. Her primary focus was being a devoted mother and spouse.

Beyond her immediate family, Connie played a maternal role for many in the local disc golf league at East Park. She took joy in supporting and observing the growth of “the park kids” over the years. Known for her warm and caring demeanor, Connie always aimed to uplift others.

During her leisure time, she immersed herself in watching game shows like Family Feud, The Price is Right, and Let’s Make a Deal. Alongside game shows, she followed NASCAR, particularly Dale Earnhardt Jr., and rooted for the Minnesota Vikings. More recently, she found fulfillment in photography, writing, reading, and gardening (even without a greenthumb).

Those left to cherish memories of Connie are her husband, Raymond McCoy; children, Jeremy Tollefson (Jennifer Geary) and Taylor McCoy (CC Hoskinson); father, Keith Morphew; brother, Doug Martin; uncle, Alvin (Sue) Eggena; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.

Connie is preceded in death by her mother, Judy Morphew; maternal grandparents, Albert and Irene Eggena; aunts and uncle, Pat Ferleman, Fred and Donna Eggena.
