OELWEIN – Cops stopped a Northern Iowa woman and determined that she was allegedly in no condition to be driving, but she had in her possession an illegal substance that makes folks feel real good.
On February 22, 2024, at approximately 7:45 PM, a Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of W Charles and 5th Avenue NW in Oelwein, Iowa. During an investigation, numerous grams of marijuana were found and seized. As a result, 42-year-old Amanda Marie Steggall (pictured at top) of Oelwein was arrested and charged with:
– Possession of Marijuana 2nd Offense
– Operating While Intoxicated 1st Offense
Both charges are serious misdemeanors. Steggall was taken into custody and transported to Fayette County Jail, where she awaited initial appearance.
