Swaledale woman hurt in auto accident Friday morning

SWALEDALE – A Swaledale woman lost control of her Ford Focus this morning, putting the vehicle in a ditch and herself in Mercy Hospital.

On February 16, at 8:01 AM, the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover with injury on Heather Avenue just south of 160th Street in Cerro Gordo County. The Driver was identified as 18-year-old Kaylee Truax-Fessler of Swaledale. Truax-Fessler was operating a Tan 2006 Ford Focus. Truax-Fessler’s vehicle was southbound on Heather avenue when it entered the west ditch and rolled over; no airbags were deployed.

Truax-Fessler was transported to MercyOne North Iowa with apparent non-life threatening injuries.

The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, Mason City Fire Medics and Thornton Fire & Medics.
