WACO, TEXAS – Keshon Gilbert’s 24 points wasn’t enough to propel a second-half comeback for #12 Iowa State Saturday night against #18 Baylor, as the Cyclones fell to the Bears, 70-68.
The Cyclones went on a 20-0 run in the second half after trailing by 12 at the break. Baylor answered with a 14-4 run of their own in the back-and-forth battle of ranked teams.
A last-second bucket by Baylor’s Jayden Nunn sealed the Cyclone defeat.
Both teams are now (16-5, 5-3) overall.
