Eston Lathrop, 39, of Iowa Falls, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2023, at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Highland Golf Club in Iowa Falls. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls.
Eston Matthew Lathrop was born on January 18, 1984 in Iowa Falls, Iowa to Jeff and Nancy (Rabe) Lathrop. He graduated from Iowa Falls High School in the class of 2002 and then attended NPR for music recording. Eston enjoyed playing basketball and baseball in high school. He was a talented musician; he played in the band Woodsman and played his own music as Paw Paw. He loved the Minnesota Vikings and the Denver Nuggets.
Eston is survived by his parents, Jeff and Nancy Lathrop of Iowa Falls, sister Kiley Lathrop of Zephyr Cove, Nevada, paternal grandparents Ken and Gladyce Lathrop of Iowa Falls and his beloved cat Elgie.
