Patricia J. Juhl, 93, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, Mason City, Iowa. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am Friday, January 5, 2024 at Epiphany Parish – St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Patricia J. Juhl, 93, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, Mason City, Iowa.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am Friday, January 5, 2024 at Epiphany Parish – St. Joseph Catholic Church, 302 5th St SE, Mason City with Rev. Neil Manternach as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Park Cemetery, Nora Springs, Iowa.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St NE, Mason City, Iowa. The Rosary will be prayed beginning at 4:30 pm.

Patricia Joan Hadacek was born March 10, 1930 in Britt, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Martha (Bouska) Hadacek. She attended rural school in Britt, and LaJames College, Mason City to become a beautician. On June 5, 1951, Patricia married Maynard Juhl in Duncan, Iowa, together the couple had five children. She spent 28 years of her working life as a head cook at the Nora Springs Care Center, although her true passion was helping Maynard on their farm outside of Nora Springs.

Patricia was a faithful member of Epiphany Parish St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mason City and was a part of the Catholic Workman Lodge 51. In her free time Patricia enjoyed reading books and gardening. She adored becoming a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and time spent with her family and loved ones brought her life’s greatest joy.

Those grateful for sharing in her life include her children, Joseph (Sharlene) Juhl, Nora Springs, David (Jolene) Juhl, St. Ansgar, Jackie Juhl, Kansas City, MO, Mary Juhl, Clear Lake and Sondra Juhl, Forest City; grandchildren, Lori (Travis) Heimbuch, Waterloo, Eric Juhl, Cedar Rapids, Randy (Kim) Juhl, Wilmar, MN, Mike (Jodi) Juhl, St. Ansgar, Andy (Molly) Kock, Golden Valley, MN, Ryan (Amber Ashland) Kock, Clear Lake, Matt (Addy) Kitner, Clear Lake, Wade (Brandi) Kitner, Ventura, Danny (Brandi) Juhl, Belmond, and Falon (Trent) Flander, Indianola; ten great grandchildren; sister in law, Betty Hadacek; as well as her faithful companion, Lucy, her beloved Jack Russell terrier; and many extended family members and friends.

Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, Maynard; parents; brothers, Charles, Joseph, and Robert Hadacek; and sister in law, Sharon Hadacek.
