Veronica “Connie” Parsons, age 95 of Algona, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023, at the Algona Manor. A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 AM Friday, December 22, 2023, at the First Congregational Church in Algona. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until service time at the church. Services have been entrusted to Lentz Funeral Home of Algona.
Veronica Mary Parsons, the daughter of Ward and Agnes (Peed) Constable, was born on August 5, 1928, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She graduated from Fort Dodge High School. On August 14, 1950, Connie was united in marriage to Alfred Fett. They later divorced. She later remarried to Jerry Parsons on February 14, 1980, at the First Congregational Church in Algona. Connie worked as quality control for test equipment at Snap-On. She also worked part time as a Child Care Provider at the YMCA. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Algona and was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Fort Dodge. One of Connie’s favorite times of the year was Christmas.
Left to cherish Connie’s memory are her children, Drew (Pam) Fett of Thompson and Alan Fett of Arizona; step-children, James (Denice) Parsons of Algona, Jody Parsons of Wesley, AR, Jeff Parsons of Council Bluffs, Julie (Dwayne) Carnberry Pleas of Council Bluffs, and Janet Bernacchi of Council Bluffs; and eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, thirteen step grandchildren, twenty two step great great grandchildren and one great grandchild due in May. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ward and Agnes; husband, Jerry; sons, Ferris and Kevin; brothers, Bob, Don, Bill, and John; and ex-husband, Alfred Fett.
