James Edward Kofoot, 83, of Mason City, Iowa, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
James was born December 31, 1939 in Mason City, son of Hans and Mina (Duggan) Kofoot. He graduated from Mason City High School. He proudly served with the United State Army. James spent many years of his life working in maintenance. He was united in marriage to Patricia Klang in August of 1966 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mason City.
James was a man of simple pleasures. He enjoyed fishing as well as playing bingo. He and his friends looked forward to their fishing trips to Canada; evening bringing his boys along when they were old enough.
Those left to honor his memory are his son, John ( Candie) Kofoot of Hudson, Iowa; grandchildren, Vince, Dacee, Cade, and Makenzie “Kenzie”, and significant other, Evonne Witham.
Preceding him in death are his wife, Patricia; son Scott; and parents, Hans and Mina.
