FORT WORTH, TEXAS – The scene is set for the 2023 Dr Pepper Big 12 Football Championship game as Oklahoma State earned the #2 seed after its win over BYU and will square off against #1 seed Texas Saturday, December 2 at 11 a.m. CT in Arlington, Texas at AT&T Stadium.
OSU finished league play at 7-2 and is 9-3 overall. The Cowboys are designated as the visiting team and will occupy the North bench. OSU is making its second title game appearance in three years.
Following their 57-7 victory over Texas Tech, the Texas Longhorns have clinched the #1 seed in the 2023 Dr Pepper Big 12 Football Championship.
Iowa State finished in a 3-way tie for fourth place in the Big 12 Conference at 6-3 (7-5 overall) with West Virginia and Kansas State. Oklahoma finished third. Iowa State lost to Texas, 26-16, in a close game this season. Iowa State beat Oklahoma State, 34-27, this season.
The Cyclones await a bowl game destination as their regular season has concluded.
