ESTERO, FLORIDA – The fifth-ranked Hawkeyes advanced to the Semifinals of the Gulf Coast Showcase and will be taking on FGCU on Saturday night. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. (CT) inside Hertz Arena in Estero, Florida. The contest will air on FloHoops (subscription required) and the Hawkeye Radio Network.
This will be the first meeting between Iowa (5-1) and Florida Gulf Coast (4-1).
SCOUTING FLORIDA GULF COAST
- Dolly Cairns was named the ASUN Newcomer of the Week for her team-leading performances against Kentucky and Florida International University.
- Uju Ezeudu leads all Eagles in points per game, averaging 14.0, and has two double- double efforts on the season.
- The Eagles climbed to No. 3 in the latest CollegeInsider.com mid-major Top 25 poll.
- FGCU is the only mid-major with four straight Top 25 finishes in the AP Poll over the last four seasons
- The Green & Blue has finished in the Top 25 in five out of the last six years.

- Maddie Antenucci dropped a career-high and a team-leading 20 points for FGCU in the victory over Delaware.
- Three fellow Eagles reached double-figures in the win as Dolly Cairns and Uju Ezeudu both added 15 points, while Brylee Bartram produced a season-high 11.
- Despite being outrounded by Delaware, FGCU defensively forced Blue Hens into 26 turnovers – just one short of tying the single-game program record. The Eagles scored 27 points off those miscues to turn the tide.
