Ames police say that at approximately 4:27 A.M. on Friday, November 17, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Kum and Go located at 4510 Mortensen Rd. The suspect was described to officers by the clerk as a black male, approximately 6 foot tall wearing a black coat, face covering, white shoes and a large cross necklace.

The male pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money. The suspect fled the store on foot, running northbound from the store.

Call police with any details.
