CLEAR LAKE – A Mason City woman is facing a felony theft charge after she was arrested today for allegedly stealing up to $123,000 from a Clear Lake business she worked at.
On October 11, 2023, the Clear Lake Police Department received a report of a suspected theft from a local business in the 200 block of US Highway 18 in Clear Lake. The business reported stolen deposits totaling over $123,000.00 between January 2023 and October 2023. After a thorough investigation it was determined and employee had stolen the funds and charges were filed.
Malorie Hallock, age 39 of Mason City is the employee in question and was arrested on November 16, 2023 and charged with Theft 1st Degree, a class C Felony.
She has since been released on bond from the Cerro Gordo County Jail.
