MASON CITY – A lot of ethanol is produced in Mason City, and a Biden Administration official is coming to town Tuesday to announce a grant to increase production.
On Tuesday, November 7, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development (RD) Senior Advisor for Rural Delivery, Engagement and Prosperity Cindy Axne will travel to Mason City, Iowa, to announce a biofuels investment in Golden Grain Energy LLC, a local plant producing ethanol and distillers’ grains for livestock feed. The grant is designed to help to increase the availability of domestic biofuels, reduce reliance on foreign oil, and give Americans additional cleaner fuel options at the pump.
