AMES – Iowa State defeated Truman State in an exhibition game Wednesday night, 88-68, without their all-Big 12 guard Emily Ryan, who is out indefinitely.
A 17-0 run iced the game for the Cyclones, led by Kelsey Joes who scored a total of 20 points.

Iowa State senior guard Emily Ryan will be out indefinitely as she continues to recover from a health-related issue. Ryan continues to receive great care from the Iowa State medical staff and is working hard to get back on the court with her teammates.
Iowa State will have no further comment on Ryan’s status.
Ryan, a Claflin, Kansas, native, averaged 10.6 points, 6.4 assists and 5.4 rebounds as a junior.
The regular season opens Monday, Nov. 6 against Butler at Hilton Coliseum.
