Kevin F. Wilke, 73, of Mason City, Iowa died Friday, October 27, 2023 at Mercy One North Iowa.
Funeral services will be held, 11: 00 a.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 2nd ST SE, Mason City, Iowa. Officiating will be Rev. Neil Manternach, of Epiphany Parish. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City.
Kevin Francis was born on November 2, 1949. He so much wanted to make it to his birthday this year. He was born in Mason City the son of Gerald and Geraldine “McCahern” Wilke. He graduated with the class of 1968 from Newman High School. E soon joined the Army and was classified as a Sargent Specialist 5m. He served in the food inspection and inventory until his retirement. He then worked for five years each at Piggly Wiggly, Easters “65” and then Hy-Vee West. He enjoyed rock and roll, reading mystery novels, and any kind of movie. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Although he remained single he had a significant other for many years. He counted many special friends which included Rita Hewitt, Gloria Richardson, and Gloria Norem, all living in Mason City and those that preceded him in death include Elaine Bennit, Gwenyth Cory, and Winona Potter. He was also preceded in death by his parents,
