Janice M. Shipman, 84, of Mason City, died Friday, October 6, 2023 at the Manly Specialty Care in Manly, Iowa.
Private graveside interment services will be held at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.
Janice was born on June 19, 1939 in Mason City the daughter of Robert and Lucille “Tiedeman” Montgomery. She attended school in Mason City graduating at Mason City High School.
Janice was united in marriage to Richard Shipman, and to this union three children were born. They later divorced. She lived in North Carolina for a short period before moving back to Mason City.
Surviving Janice include her daughter Kathy Helland, her son, Todd, and his wife, Sue Shipman all of Mason City, five grandchildren, twelve Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Grandson, and brother Doug Montgomery of Ocean Side, CA. Best friend Bonnie Stroud of Cherryville, N.C.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her daughter Sheila Shipman, three brothers Bobbie, Chuck, and Jay Montgomery and her Great Granddaughter Stephanie.
