Women’s College Basketball: Iowa Hawkeyes release 2023-24 game schedule

IOWA CITY – The University of Iowa women’s basketball team released the details of the 2023-24 schedule.

IOWA CITY – The University of Iowa women’s basketball team released the details of the 2023-24 schedule on Thursday. The 18-game Big Ten Conference slate was released live on BTN Today.

Game times and television information will be released in the coming weeks.


– For the second straight season, Iowa will open its Big Ten slate with identical opponents and locations in December. The Hawkeyes will travel to Wisconsin on Dec. 10 and host Minnesota on Dec. 30.
– The Hawkeyes will play back-to-back conference road games twice during the regular season.
– The start and end of Iowa’s conference slate is balanced with three away/home contests.
– The Hawkeyes will play five weekend home games against Big Ten competition (three Saturday, two Sunday). Saturday games inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena come against Minnesota (Dec. 30), Indiana (Jan. 13) and Nebraska (Jan. 27). Iowa is scheduled to be home the final two Sundays of the regular season (Feb. 25 & March 3).
– The Hawkeyes will play on Super Bowl Sunday for the second straight season and eighth time in nine years. Iowa will play at Nebraska on Sunday, Feb. 11.
– The Big Ten Tournament will return to the Target Center in Minneapolis, March 6-10, 2024.

Iowa is coming off a historic season in which it won a school-record 31 games, finished NCAA national runners-up and was second in the country in attendance. Senior guard Caitlin Clark, who was the consensus National Player of the Year, Collegiate Woman of the Year and AAU Sullivan Award winner, averaged 27.8 points, 8.6 assists and 7.1 rebounds per game. Seniors Gabbie Marshall and Kate Martin, and sophomore Hannah Stuelke also return for Lisa Bluder’s 24th season as Iowa’s head coach.

Tickets for Iowa’s Crossover at Kinnick are still available in general admission seating. All purchases are nonrefundable, tickets for adults are $10 and $5 for youth (18 & younger). Season tickets for the 2023-24 campaign are sold out for the first time in program history.
