Mason City men arrested after house raided by special operations tactical team

MASON CITY – A special operations tactical team raided a Mason City house Monday evening, taking two wanted men to jail.

On August 7, 2023, just before 5 PM, the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at 2610 S. Federal Ave. in Mason City with the North Central Iowa Narcotics Task Force Special Operations Group Tactical Team. John Carlyle Snyder, Age 22 of Mason City and Larry Richard Ragle, Age 48 of Nora Springs were taken into custody.

Snyder was arrested on a Robbery 1st Degree warrant a Class B felony and a driving while revoked warrant a serious misdemeanor. Snyder is being held on a $25,000 bond.

Ragle was arrested on a probation violation warrant out of Chickasaw County and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia a simple misdemeanor. Ragle is being held on $5,300 Bond.

A search of the location was conducted. The case is ongoing.
