CHARLES CITY – A Charles City man was arrested for intoxication at the county courthouse.
Chalres Cit police went to the Floyd county courthouse on the afternoon of July 9, 2023. At 1:39 PM that day, they encountered 34-year-old Matt Mullen of Charles City. After an investigation, officers arrested Mullen on a charge of public intoxication.
Mullen later pled guilty to public intoxication, a simple misdemeanor, and was ordered by a judge to pay $290.00 in fines and court costs.
Mullen is currently facing a theft charge brought by Charles City police and is due in court on August 9.
