Underage Charles City man, cruising through town with booze, vapes and no headlights, arrested after contentious traffic stop

CHARLES CITY - A recent traffic stop went bad for a young Charles City man who was allegedly cruising through town after midnight with booze, vapes and no headlights.

CHARLES CITY – A recent traffic stop went bad for a young Charles City man who was allegedly cruising through town after midnight with booze, vapes and no headlights.

According to Charles City police, the incident took place on July 1, 2023. At 12:19 AM that night, officers with the Charles City police department conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of 4th Avenue. As a result of the traffic stop and actions during the stop, 19-year-old Kaye Lee Stough of Charles City was arrested for possession of alcohol under age 21, possession of vapor products under age 21, driving with no lights, and interference with official acts.

Stough quickly bonded out of jail, awaiting court dates. He faces hundreds of dollars fines, court costs, and more.
