Pamela “Pam” Stockton of Dothan, Alabama passed away June 18, 2023.
A Celebration of Pam’s Life will be held from 11:00a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the Edward Tosel American Legion Post 110, 116 East Elmore Street, Manly, IA 50456.
Pamela Jean Schulte was born January 2, 1953 in Manly, IA the daughter of Virgil Earl and Betty Jean (Tanner) Schulte. She grew up in North Iowa, attended North Central High School in Manly. Pam was blessed with a daughter, Jenifer Jean in 1971. On December 14, 1984 she married the love of her life, William J. Stockton in Topeka, Kansas. They made their home around the country, following work before moving to Dothan, Alabama where the couple currently reside.
Pam’s vibrant life overflowed with joy and cherished connections. From laughter-filled moments with family and friends to spirited card games, she embraced the simple pleasures. A seasoned traveler, Pam loved exploring, creating lasting memories with those around her. Black Friday shopping her adventurous spirit, unwilling to turn down a good deal. Her thoughtful nature was evident in handwritten cards and the cherished tradition of baking Grandma Tanner’s Christmas cookies with loved ones. Pam’s intelligence, kindness, and humor endeared her to all, while her unwavering loyalty and engaging conversations touched countless lives. In our hearts, she leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and a zest for life that will endure through generations.
Those surviving are her beloved husband of 39 years, William “Bill” J. Stockton; daughter, Jenifer J. (David) Buchen; cherished grandchildren, Sara Jean Buchen, Grace Elizabeth Buchen, and Jake Bayard Buchen; siblings, David (Cheryl) Schulte of LaCrescent, MN and Lori (Jim) Bergo of Joice; Bill’s siblings, Vicki Cunningham and Samuel Stockton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Preceding her in death are her father, Virgil E. Schulte; mother, Betty J. Schulte-Brown; step-father, John Brown; infant brother, Danny; as well as extended family.
