Mark LeRoy Potter, the son of Floyd Potter and Beth (Lund) Engelbarts was born December 30, 1956, in Kansas City, MO. He died on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at the Accura Care Center in Bancroft, Iowa at the age of 66.
He received his education at Granada Huntley grade school and Ledyard High School before attending Ryder Tech. Mark married Roxanne Tibbits and to this union, two daughters were born, Michelle and Amanda. The couple later divorced. On November 20, 1999, he was united in marriage to Shelly Kuenle and to this union one child was born, Tyler.
Mark worked for HiWay Ford, Fairmont Ford, Ronnie Stenzel and Boehmke’s Service Center over the years. Mark also owned and operated Ledyard Body and Service for several years. In his free time, Mark enjoyed old cars, flea markets, antiquing, and fishing.
Left to cherish Mark’s memory are his wife, Shelly Potter; children; Michelle (Denny) Davis, Amanda Rick, and Tyler Potter; four grandchildren; his mother, Beth Engelbarts, siblings, Dwight (Shawn) Potter, William Troy (Michele) Potter, Tony (Tracey) Potter, LuAnna (John) Fogarty, Jim (Denyse) Engelbarts, Karma Engelbarts, Kay Evans, Gary (Monica) Potter and Janet Withers.
He has been preceded in death by his father, Floyd Potter, brother, Dr. Robin (Starla) Potter, and his stepfather, Christ Engelbarts.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
