CEDAR RAPIDS – A person was shot dead in Cedar Rapids, and police are seeking clues.
Cedar Rapids Police are investigating an overnight shooting that resulted in the death of a 23-year-old male.
At approximately 12:06 AM on June 11, 2023, Cedar Rapids police were called to the 1300 block of 1st Ave SE for the report of shots fired and a victim needing medical attention. Officers arrived on-scene and located the victim outside the address suffering from gunshot wounds. He was given immediate medical attention and transported to a local hospital where he was later declared deceased as a result of his wounds.
